Guests comments 8-15-10 Hello James, Let me start by thanking you for the wonderful hog hunt Carol and I had this weekend. We arrived home safely, yet tired. Matt and Dirk are top notch individuals. They worked hard to help Carol and I get hogs, and they entertained us too. I felt safe and secure around them as did Carol. They were very safety conscious and helped us to be aware of the surroundings. Sienna is a wonderful young lady. It was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely wife. You should be proud of all the people we encountered during our stay. Your lodge is just too cool. It was very clean and comfortable. It is all anyone can ask for. Carol and I are still pumped with our hunt. This was the first time in the field for Carol, and I rabbit hunted once, many, many years ago. You and your crew made our trip a wonderful experience that has unleashed an excitement in us that we did not think possible. We looked at your website for the Giles County deer hunt. We are very interested and want to know if you have an opening for the two of us for the weekend of November 6th and 7th. If that weekend is not open, do you have any other weekends available prior to the Thanksgiving holiday? If not, what weekends do you have available? We have a commitment in West Virginia the weekend after Thanksgiving (November 27 and 28) so that weekend is not an option for us. WE are going to deer hunt with my uncle. Even though the weather did not co-operate we still had a great time hunting for the first time at Croy’s Cabins. The cabin was wonderful and the food was great. We left with lots of meat for the freezer. Matt and Dirk did a great job getting us on game that’s for sure. I’m looking forward to visiting you again soon. i have sent you a few pics, of the hog i got at your preserve. my family and i had a great time and the cabin was just what we like. your son matt was an excellent guide as well as his friend dierk. the first shot i made the hog was moving through the brush fast so my shot was to far back and we had to track the hog for a long way with little blood but matt never gave up and the hog was spotted and i made a great shot to the head. i thank you very much for your persistance in helping me harvest my hog am looking forward to my next trip down. i will recommend you all to everyone we were very satisfied use the pics as you would like.

Angie and I would like to thank you once again for a wonderful hunt. This was Angies first ever hunt and it was a terrific experience for her. Needeless to say, she is hooked. This was my first ever hog hunt and I shot a great hog with my muzzleloader. The accomodations were second to none. We were able to stay in a private cabin during our hunt which made it a much nicer experience for Angie. I have hunted at other preserves and found them to be acceptable. Croys Cabins is head and shoulders above the other places I have hunted. A great place for couples to hunt together. The attention to detail and the great caring guides (especially Timmy) made this a perfect hunt for me and my wife. It truly was a hunt and did not have the feel of a preserve once you got inside. Angie made a great stalk and shot on the fallow doe she killed. You couldn't have smacked the smile off her face the rest of the day! My hog showed just how tough these beasts can be. Two shots from my 50 caliber Encore and the hog still charged Timmy and Matt. We grabbed a handful of cards and will be spreading the word to our friends about the fantastic time we had. 10-01-09 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Croy I truly enjoyed my first hunting trip on a hunting preserve. I must admit I was very sceptical of hunting behind a high fence operation, boy was I impressed with the natural lay out of the property and the natural wildness of all the game I saw. This archery hunt was as challenging as any I have ever taken for any big game animal. I encourage other hunters like myself with little time to hunt, to give you guys a try. I spent thousands on a western hunt for Elk last year and never even saw one. Once again thank you all for the wonderful experience and I will return again for future hunts. Matt and the guys treated my son like he was one of the guys and really made this a memorable hunt for him not to mention he got his first deer, a Fallow doe. Our first day i expected it to be a cake walk, but to my surprise it turned out to be a true hunting adventure, this was no bunch of farmed animals, these guys gave us a run for our money and truly made the hunt well worth it. You run a first class family operation, I will recommend Croys to everyone i meet. Matt, thank you again for going back to your own home and getting your own rifle for my son to shoot, you guys went so far out of your way to make us feel at home, I do not think I could have found better service anywhere. Was expecting it to be a little warmer in Tennessee then Ohio I guess it was buy a few degrees. (laughing) This is not the first guided hunt that I have been on, but it was the best guided hunt I have ever been on. The lodging was very clean and comfortable, food was excellent; I was very impressed at how hard Matt and Tim worked on Sunday night to make sure I had the best chance possible of getting a boar. I can't say enough of how impressed I was with your operation form the time I got there until I went home on Monday. This was the best family operation I have ever seen work so well together. Matt- you did a perfect job on caping out the elk. The taxidermist was very happy and impressed, as was he with the size of it.
I'm looking forward to coming back this weekend so my family can meet you, and I also plan to come back in two years after my deployment to go after one of those buffalo! Thanks again!
